MEDJUGORJE - VIENNA - POLAND

DAY 1 USA - SPLIT, CROATIA

Our Pilgrimage begins as we depart on our transatlantic flight(s) to Split, Croatia.

DAY 2 SPLIT - MEDJUGORJE

Arrive Split airport in the afternoon. Transfer by motor-coach to Medjugorje. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 MEDJUGORJE

Medjugorje is a simple mountain village. Experience its beauty, spirituality, and peace. During our stay, we will share our faith with thousands of people from all over the world. Each morning at 10:00am, we meet at St. James Church for the English language Mass. We will vists the Hill of Apparitions where the visionaries first saw Our Blessed Virgin Mary. Pray before the statue that symbolizes the place of the first apparition. In 1933 the villagers built a 30’ high cross on the anniversary of Jesus’ crucifixion on top of Cross Mountain (Krizevac). We will climb the mountain through the Stations of the Cross. Also, visit and pray at “Blue Cross”. A place of healings and graces at the foot of Apparition Hill. We will attend meetings and talks with the visionaries (subject to their availability and health). We will visit the community of Cenacolo (a rehab center). In the evening, we join the villagers at 6:00 to pray the rosary. Followed by Croatian Mass during which there is the blessing of the items you have with you. Adoration takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays later in the evening, and veneration of the Holy Cross takes place on Fridays later in the evening.

DAY 4 MEDJUGORJE - PLITVICE LAKES - ZAGREB

After breakfast, transfer to Veprica/Little Lourdes shrine for Mass in the chapel before departure to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. On the way we pause for an orientation tour at Plitvice National Park; a UNESCO’s heritage site for its outstanding beauty of sixteen lakes (entry fees included). Free time for leisure, lunch on your own before departure to Zagreb. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 ZAGREB - VIENNA

After breakfast, depart to Vienna, Austria. On the way we pause for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, meet with the local guide for a half day city visit. First we make a panoramic tour which start with the Ring. Then we visit the cathedral (entrance fee included), St. Stephen square, St. Peters church, church of the nine angelic weeds, walk through Kohl market to Hofburg, Maria Teresa square. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 VIENNA - LAGIEWNIKI - KRAKOW

After an early breakfast, depart for Krakow. We pause on the way for lunch on your own and rest. Upon arrival, meet with the local guide and visit Lagiewniki, the capital of Divine Mercy. It was here that the message of the Divine Mercy originated, which Christ Himself wished to pass on to our generation through the mediation of St. Faustina. We visit the new center ‘Have no fear’, where we pray by the relic of Blessed Pope John Paul II. We will have time to pray and reflect before we celebrate Mass and then enjoy an orientation tour of the sanctuary which houses the image of the Merciful Jesus and the relics of St. Faustina. As we visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy, we will see St. Faustina’s convent chapel and her tomb. We visit the new Shrine of Divinity dedicated by Pope John Paul II on his last visit to Poland in 2002. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 KRAKOW – AUSCHWITZ – KRAKOW

After breakfast, departure to Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi concentration camp, where unspeakable atrocities occurred. Visit starts at 11:00 AM; Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II Birkanau until 03:00 PM. We will see the cell that imprisoned St. Maximillian Kolbe and the Martyrdom Museum recalling the horrors of the Holocaust. After visit, enjoy some free time. Afternoon return to hotel in Krakow. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

DAY 8 KRAKOW - WADOWICE

After breakfast, enjoy a half day visit of Krakow: Wawel hill with the Royal Cathedral (inside), Royal route, Franciscan church (the bench of JP 2 ) Bishop residence where JP II stayed, the oldest university area, Main Square St. Mary's - the ceremony of the opening of the altar - trumpet call. In the afternoon, drive to Wadowice and visit the house (now a museum) where Pope John Paul II was born in 1920. See the Wadowice Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, where he was baptized. Return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 KRAKOW - CZESTOHOVA (Jasna Gora) - WARSAW

After breakfast, we depart to Warsaw. We make a stop at Czestochowa, the greatest pilgrimage shrine in Poland – Our lady of Czestochowa. The guided tour includes the Knights’ Hall, the Jasna Góra Museum, the St. Roch Bastion, and the Treasury (as well as the Chapel of the Miraculous Painting of Our Lady and the Basilica of Jasna Gora). Continue to Warsaw. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10 WARSAW

After breakfast meet with the local guide, enjoy a two hour panoramic tour of Warsaw; Historical sites such as the Ghetto Memorial, the Monument of Warsaw’s Uprising, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Grand Theatre, Chopin's monument, the Belvedere Palace and the Old Town. At the Old Town you can enjoy a walking tour passing by the Castle Square, King Sigismund's Column, St. John's Cathedral, the Market Square and the Barbican. Lunch on your own, before another two hours walking tour. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 11 WARSAW – USA

Early check out from the hotel. Transfer to Warsaw airport for your flight back home.
